El cruel diario de RACHEL McADAMS

Originaria de Ontario, Canada, Rachel Anne McAdams, nació en noviembre de 1978, hija de una enfermera y un taxista. Durante su infancia y adolescencia se vio involucrada en el patinaje artístico sobre hielo, entre otros deportes debido a que según ella misma confiesa, nunca disfruto sus clases académicas, mientras estos deportes la prepararon para su futura carrera actoral permitiéndole conectar su mente con su cuerpo. No fue sino hasta sus 20 primaveras que se enlisto en la Universidad de York para graduarse con honores de un programa en artes y que la perfilaría en el camino actoral a pesar de haberse codeado con este desde pequeña en campamentos de verano y obras teatrales del colegio.  Su debut en television llega en 2001 para la cadena MTV, un piloto que nunca vio la luz y que fue filmado durante el spring break de la universidad que atendía.

Tras debutar en cine con un par de filmes canadienses no es sino hasta que participa en "The Hot Chick" (2002), una comedia protagonizada por Rob Schneider donde bajo la conocida premisa del cambio de cuerpos, en esta ocasión la chica popular de la escuela sufre una maldicion por una de sus agraviadas compañeras para despertar en el cuerpo de un hombre plomero y bastante feo. La cinta obviamente obtuvo las criticas correspondientes a las cintas del genero y del actor mas su respuesta en taquilla fue buena y suficiente para poner a la actriz en la mira de la industria quien la pondría en un una pequeña comedia que se convirtió en un éxito y a la fecha cinta de culto para el genero: "Mean Girls" (2004), una comedia adolescente que definió a su generación, protagonizada por una entonces promisoria Lindsay Lohan, pero siendo Rachel quien se robara las escenas con su interpretación de la qeen bee de la preparatoria y que desata la guerra de estas chicas pesadas. Curiosamente la critica también amo la cinta.

Con otro éxito durmiente, ese mismo verano protagoniza una cinta romántica que se volvería en otro clásico de su generación: "The Notebook" (2004), co protagoniza con Ryan Gosling una historia de amor de dos jóvenes de diferentes clases sociales que tras Alti bajos logran mantenerse juntos para enfrentar el Alzheimer de ella una vez en la tercera edad. este diario de una pasión robo suspiros y lagrimas llevándolo a ser un éxito en taquilla que han tratado de igualar cintas del mismo autor y que puso a sus protagonistas en la cima de ídolos juveniles de la época. Como era de suponerse los actores llevaron su romance fuera de la pantalla pero al igual que las 2 horas de duración de la cinta este no logro mantenerlos juntos mas de 2 años. Una vez en la cima de la industria, regresa con otra comedia del duo Owen Wilson-Vince Vaughn sobre estos dos amigos sin propósito en la vida mas que colarse en bodas para ligarse a las mujeres solteronas y desesperadas, hasta toparse con una mujer que realmente los sacara de su juego para involucrarse sentimentalmente y recapacitar su vida. "Wedding crashers" (2005) supero todas las expectativas de la industria convirtiéndose en una de las cintas mas taquilleras para sus protagonistas.

Como era de esperarse la oportunidad llegaría para la actriz de protagonizar una cinta, y esta llego de la mano de "Red eye" (2005), un thriller donde una mujer toma el vuelo nocturno tras asistir a un funeral solo para descubrir que el joven que conoció en el bar es un terrorista que tiene una agenda propia durante el avión. Dirigida por el aclamado director Wes Craven, la cinta obtuvo muy buena respuesta para el genero a pesar de sus fallidas criticas. Continuando su racha de éxitos, la actriz forma parte del elenco de la cinta "The Family Stone" (2005), un melodrama de las fechas decembrinas con un elenco multi estelar que incluye ademas a Diane Keaton, Sarah Jessica Parker y Luke Wilson entre otros contando la historia de una familia y sus enredos amorosos por lograr que sus tres hijas obtengan la preciada joya familiar destinada a quien se comprometa primero lo que atrae los esperados enredos y desamores propios de cada familia. Lo que si atrajo fue otro sorpresivo éxito en taquilla a pesar de tener criticas encontradas y no encajar en un genero definido. Desgraciadamente aquí la actriz no protagoniza y su papel es el mas limitado de las tres hermanas.

Tratando de expandirse como actriz, se aleja del cine comercial para incursionar en la escena independiente donde la vemos en "Married life" (2007), un drama americano que goza de una muy limitada exhibición a pesar de su excelente reparto que incluye ademas de la actriz a Patricia Clarkson,  y Chris Cooper, contando la historia de época de hombre casado teniendo un affair. Ni esto la salvo de al menos una buena recepción de los críticos. No así insiste en la escena indie ahora con "The Lucky ones" (2008), otro melodrama ahora bajo la batuta del aclamado director Neil Burger contando la historia de tres soldados que al terminar su misión sus vuelos se ven cancelados para orillarlos a un road trip que sacara lo mejor y peor de ellos tras sus propias experiencias y expectativas en la milicia. Desgraciadamente un fracaso para su limita distribución así como por sus criticas. Durante su ausencia en las pantallas la actriz se ha caracterizado por su apoyo haciendo actos de presencia en causas humanitarias como la protesta para la legalización de inmigrantes en 2006 y la ocupación de Toronto en 2011 por mencionar algunos.

Regresando al cine hollywoodense opta por opciones mas serias como la cinta "State of Play" (2009), basada en la aclamada obra teatral, co protagonizada por Ben Affleck y Helen Mirren, en un thriller politico que cuenta las hazañas de un periodista que trata de exponer a un congresista y el asesinato de una de sus amantes. A pesar de una muy buena recepción del circulo de críticos, la taquilla fue solo aceptable para las expectativas que se tenían por su elenco multi estelar y el pedigrí de la obra original, mas no es considerado un fracaso al superar sus costos de producción.


Tratando de repetir viejas formulas que la buscan encasillar como la nueva sweet heart de la industria, protagoniza a lado de Eric Bana la cinta "The time Traveler's wife" (2009), una cinta romántica basada en la popular novela homónima sobre un hombre con la extraña habilidad genética de viajar en el tiempo lo cual lo convierte en un lobo solitario hasta involucrarse con una niña que conoce en uno de sus viajes y que empieza a frecuentar para enamorarse de ella una vez que esta se ha convertido en toda una mujer. Cumpliendo todos los cliches del genero y su formula que pretende manipular a los espectadores a pesar de lo diferente de su historia logro el rechazo de la critica mas no de su publico quien no la amo pero obtuvo una mediana recaudación que se le puede considerar un éxito para sus estándares. De lleno en la grandes producciones, participa en "Sherlock Holmes" (2009), una nueva adaptación del clásico, ahora protagonizado por Robert Downy Jr. y Jude Law como su inseparable amigo, siendo la actriz el interés amoroso del mas famoso detective del mundo. La cinta fue éxito rotundo tanto en critica como en taquilla que le origino una secuela en 2011.

Tratando de poner a la actriz nuevamente a la batuta de sus cintas protagoniza "Morning Glory" (2010), una comedia donde interpreta a una productora del programa matutino de noticias y que debe lidiar con los egos de sus dos conductores interpretados nada menos que por Diane Keaton y Harrison Ford en su nueva faceta de comedia. La cinta fue un fracaso que paso al olvido hasta la fecha. Cobijándose de este mal trago es elegida por el famoso director Woody Allen para participar su nueva cinta, este vez ubicada en la ciudad luz: "Midnight in Paris" (2011), una comedia que nuevamente juega con el tiempo, es la mas reciente entrega del director que ha sido nominada a los premios Oscar así como por su recaudación en taquilla por su inteligente metáfora del presente y pasado que deleito a todos.

Volviendo al genero que mas la ha destacado protagoniza "The Vow" (2012), a lado del popular actor Channing Tatum, sobre la historia de amor de dos jóvenes y su promesa de amor que para los tiempos modernos es un ejemplo de valores y vieja escuela en términos de romance. Esto le valió un éxito en taquilla que a la fecha la posiciona en el numero siete de las mas taquilleras de su genero. Tratando de  trabajar con aclamados directores se pone bajo la batuta de Brian de Palm en su nueva obra "Passion" (2012), un thriller erotico co protagonizado por Noomi Rapace, una publicista ejecutiva que busca ganarse poder y el amor de su subordinada asistente tras esta tener un affair con su novio. Obviamente la cinta sufrir una muy limitada distribución y una pésima recaudación en taquilla a pesar de venderse como un filme de arte, pero la pobre premisa no la salvo del apabullo de la critica.

Continuando con su tour de aclamados directores, se une al elenco del nuevo filme de Terrence Malik, un director conocido por su muy particular vision alejada del cine comercial, y co protagonizando con Ben Affleck y Javier Bardem contando la travesía de un hombre que se enamora de una mujer Ucraniana y su lucha por estar juntos dada la situación de sus nacionalidades. A pesar de ser un reconocido director esta ocasión "To the wonder" (2012) no logro grandes criticas lo cual no beneficio su corrida comercial que pendía de ello. Tras experimentar un poco regresa al cine comercial bajo la mano del genero romántico que tan bien le siente y le ha funcionado. Desgraciadamente opta por repetir formulas que se sienten gastadas y poco conectan con su publico. "About Time" (2013), nuevamente cuenta la historia de un joven que puede viajar en el tiempo pero esta vez, solo a su propio pasado para enmendar errores o cambiar sus decisiones. Buscando un mensaje sobre las consecuencias de nuestras decisiones y el efecto mariposa de los viajes en el tiempo, este romance sufrir de todo menos de ello, no química ni romance en pantalla lo que la llevo al fracaso y su pronto olvido.

Regresando a otro probado genero participa en "A most wanted man" (2014), un thriller de espionaje a lado del fallecido actor Phillip Seymour Huffman, en una historia sobre un agente aleman que busca la ayuda de un refugiado de Chechnya para obtener información de un la comunidad musulman. La cinta debuto en el festival de Sundance con grandes criticas que se fortalecieron durante su corrida comercial como uno de los mejores filmes de su año, mas su distribución fue mediana y le gano una aceptable taquilla. Este 2015 la veremos repetidamente. Primero aparece este mes en la comedia romantica del aclamado director Cameron Crowe, "Aloha", a lado de Bradley Cooper y Emma Stone, interpretando un triángulo amoroso sobre madurar y enfrentar las consecuencias de las decisiones hechas por amor a tu profesión y la persona que esta a tu lado forzando a sacar lo mejor de uno mismo y luchar por aquello que sentimos y creemos correcto. Desgraciadamente a la fecha esta sufriendo la maldicion que sus proyectos anteriores cuando se empareja con aclamados directores, fracaso en taquilla y critica.

Posteriormente incursionara en la pantalla chica via "True detective", el revolucionario programa televisivo que presenta casos por resolver que nos llevan a resolver primero el caso de cada uno de sus detectives como profesionales y como individuos y su complicada personalidad característica de cualquier ser humano, y en esta segunda temporada promete mas giros de tuerca y mas personajes, lo que es igual a mas entre lazos. También este verano co protagoniza a lado de Jake Gyllenhaal el drama "Southpaw", la historia de un joven boxeador que tendrá que enfrentar sus propios demonios para poder ponerse en cintura y recuperar la custodia de su hija tras la muerte de su esposa en una historia de redención que lo llevara de la gloria a enfrentar una lección de humildad y drama familiar.

Mas tarde, este mismo año la veremos bajo la batuta de Wim Wenders y su peculiar vision cinematográfica en la cinta "Everything will be fine" a lado de James Franco en este filme aleman que narra la historia de un hombre que tras causar un accidente paso los siguientes 12 años examinando las consecuencias del mismo. Y finalmente "Spotlight" una película sobre el equipo homónimo del Boston Globe's y su trabajo cubriendo el escándalo del abuso sexual en la iglesia católica de Massachusetts que les llevo a ganar el premio pulitzer por servicio publico, poniendo el dedo sobre la iglesia como institución no como creencia. Co protagoniza con Mark Buffalo y se perfila para ser una de las favoritas en la próxima temporada de premios mientras ya ha colectado excelentes criticas como una de las mejores cintas del año reflejando la labor periodística que debería ser un ejemplo sin caer en predicamentos ni morales mas pura objetividad. Lo cual después de haberla coronado con éxitos en taquilla, grandes romances, cintas independientes y experimentales bajo las manos de reconocidos directores, es el siguiente paso para esta actriz que ha demostrado en efecto la perfecta sincronización de su cuerpo y mente en pantalla y fuera de ella.

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER....o la triste realidad de America.

A través de los años hemos sido testigos de varios casos que nos han dejado con la boca abierta, que dan para hablar por meses o son recordados por la eternidad, siempre en busca de el morbo de nosotros como espectadores, la television, principalmente las noticias y ahora las tan populares y sobre valoradas series de television, están en búsqueda desesperada de crear un parte aguas en la cultura que vuelva a poner en el mapa ese factor sorpresa o crear el momentum de algo que nos pueda sorprender en una época carente de las mismas ante una invasion de ideas poco originales y pre fabricadas.

Aquí entran todas esas series de policías, bomberos, doctores y mas recientemente, abogados, que con glimpses a sus vidas profesionales y privadas dotan al resto de los mortales un aire de excitación ante la idea de una vida llena de peligros y adrenalina para otros. "How to get away with murder" (2014-actualidad), es una nueva serie de la cadena ABC que busca apelar a ese gusto por por hacernos sentir jueces de la vida y pecados de otros, pero que ante la ya muy agotada formula de casos donde abogados tratan de encontrar justicia para fugitivos, ladrones, terroristas, capitalistas, etc, llegamos a un extremo donde el pecado mayor es posible de absolución, y peor aun salirse con la suya.

No hay peor delito, pecado, y castigo que el de un asesinato. Atentar con la vida de otros en una sociedad donde se busca la comunión pacifica y el respeto y aceptación para los demás, es llegar a un limite intolerable y que condena sin excusa. Pero en una era donde los politicos mueven los hilos manipulando a la sociedad mediante obras publicas que esconden efectos secundarios o los empresarios que crean negocios moviéndonos atreves de la mercadotecnia, llevándonos a nuestro inner-consumismo, carteles que vemos en las noticias, rompen la ley y hacen de las suyas bajo la sombra de una autoridad supuestamente incapaz de controlarlos, el hecho de palpar el asesinato como un acto cotidiano da para poner en tela de juicio nuestros valores actualizados a estos tiempos.

La idea de una serie que nos lleve de la mano a través de casos para un prestigiado buffet de abogados en busca de defender lo obvio, un asesino, y su lucha por demostrar que su acto en realidad no es lo que parece y existe un motivo o un secreto que re direccionara el rumbo de los eventos, suena como un sacrilegio que tocara las fibras mas sensibles de cualquier purista que gusta juzgar al libro por su portada. No es de agradecerse que las televisores este interesadas en poner bajo la lupa este tipo de situaciones y que a primer instancia reflejan una inmoralidad o excusa social para seguir incendiando la rebeldía e instintos de anarquía.

Es solo hasta que nos adentramos a la vida de cada uno de los protagonistas de este buffet y serie televisiva que descubrimos hay cosas peores que el asesinato y que en realidad aveces el crimen no es lo peor sino la persona detrás de el. Annalise, interpretada por la actriz Viola Davis en su debut televisivo, es la popular abogada y cabeza de este buffet. Su vida esta tan quebrada como cualquiera de sus casos. Casada con un hombre que la ha engañado, siéndole ella misma infiel con un policía al cual usa para su beneficio como contacto interno del departamento. Dando clase en la universidad a futuros abogados sobre la ley y su interpretación para su uso en benefició de su cliente sea culpable o inocente, una mera transacción de negocio. No valores ni pre juicios incluidos.

Como es costumbre, contara con 5 interinos, los mas sobresalientes de su clase. Cinco jóvenes hambrientos por éxito y talento para sobresalir por encima de los demás. Un reflejo de la sociedad capitalista que empuja a sus jóvenes a un limite donde lo mas importante es el objetivo y alcanzar las metas sin importar el costo dejando su propia individualidad. Así dos mujeres y tres varones, lucran por mantenerse unidos como equipo mientras sus propias metas y ambiciones los empujaran para traicionarse al mas puro estilo fascista pero que cuando requiere de la union de todos sus integrates pondrá en prueba sus limites y capacidad como equipo.

Guiados por los asistentes de Annalise, quienes fungen como los dos lados de moralidad de una persona, tratando de sacar a flote este grupo inmerso en sus propios demonios y que caso tras caso irán undiendose mas en sus propios paradigmas que empujarlos fuera. Al menos todo esto fue la primer temporada, que con giros de tuerca nos mantuvo al filo del asiento para descifrar el siguiente paso de este peculiar grupo, haciéndonos cuestionar si votamos a favor de su lado obscuro o del lado positivo que cada uno presenta. Una joven snob en busca de validación mediante el status social. Un joven gay que desconoce el amor propio con tal de lograr sus fines sin limitantes, Un joven que funge como conciencia moral de los otros para terminar mostrando un lado mas débil que el resto. Un joven adinerado que carece de educación, filtros y madurez y una joven que lucha contra tantos fantasmas como cliches que su vida es un constante estrés. Mezclados todos ellos tenemos el drama perfecto y la combinación ideal para poder ir, episodio tras episodio tratando de salvar al mundo, undiendolo mas, en los peores fundamentos humanos y que están caracterizando a toda una generación.

Hasta donde podemos o queremos llegar probar que incluso lo peor puede ser redimido? Si la vida en LatinAmerica, donde politicos y narcotraficantes se salen con la suya y gobiernan el país, llega a los suburbios del primer mundo, esto dicta la nueva tendencia social de un cancer que se ha vuelto moda en vez de enfermedad? Vale mas el poder y status que el balance moral de lo correcto e incorrecto? Donde perdemos nuestra definición como humanos para actuar por nuestro instinto animal y ser reconocidos por ello? Sera que es necesario llegar al después de la muerte para recibir el castigo necesario? Al menos esperemos ese no sea el nuevo tema para un nuevo programa y en vez empecemos a buscar el camino de regreso a la cosecha de un mundo mejor.

SLOW WEST side of a FURY ROAD...

This weekend two very different movies opened sharing great reviews from critics and good grades from audiences but thats not only things they shared, a story of survival and a message of hope set up in two very different timings with stories as lose and opposite than make anyone wonder if this was just a marketing plan or just a random coincidence. While one is playing worldwide the other found its way in limited realize through acclaimed festivals circuit, so what's all about their buzz that has everybody raving about them?

Well, starting with the small, independent "Slow West" (2015), a new western that opposite to other classics from the same genre where horses ridings and train chances, while famous 1-1 gun fire encounters happen, this one takes the same timing as its title, going slow. The movie takes its time to tell the story of a young man that after been separated from his first love, Rose, thanks to social differences and family drama back in his home country, Scotland, moves to America, deep to the west, in search of his sweet heart that hides somewhere in this new undiscovered land where cowboys are fighting to annihilate an old raze, tradition and culture, the american indians.

The young boy lack of experience and maturity but with fierce and courage to face the challenges get him in trouble, specially in the middle of this national battle until he crosses path with an outlaw with his own agenda that gets caught by the ideal of the guy and his sad love story. A fallen angel and a raising demon start a journey together, trying to survive in different ways, hope and redemption of past mistakes and a promise of a better life in the future that might involve a reward of a bounty hunter will bring them in a share quest for a personal introspection and a common goal.

Actor Michael Fassbender, also produces, brings a performance as deep, tough as charming as an outlaw looking for redemption through a young, innocent soul. Helping him and bringing him to safe as a reminder of a promise of a better good of himself. As a young boy, just moved by love and that idea of his true love, blinds him bringing the man a chance to guide him to this new land that as their habitants is suffering of battles, changes and a promise of a better life for everybody who is down to pay the price, meaning killing, stealing, lying but sharing the idea of justa promise as clash of different cultures to create a new erasing the old ones, but love as death are universal.

And with death comes revenge and anger and fury, so we take a leap in time from past to future. But in contrary as history and past has been written, no one nows what future awaits for us, as human race, so an imaginative post apocalyptic era reins the world, with lack of natural resources, the one able to have access to them will bring power and when power comes to the table, a new society raises and new rules are dictated, yes, that's exactly what history has tough us. This is the world of "Mad Max: Fury Road" (2015), an adrenaline tale of survival and hope, again? yes!, again.

When a small village set in this new future, is ruled by a crazy man, called himself Immortal, as trying to survive his own fight with death, the lack of water and control of others as warriors for his own, turns this place into a marginated place where people are no longer treated like that, theres is no better plan than survive day by day but become a better version of themselves pops like an opportunity, lead by a warrior that seeks for redemption (sounds familiar?). In this case a woman called herself, Imperator Furiosa, but her own agenda, is to steal other women used as objects just to bring new children for the ruler, like ancient times in middle east, where women where used more as objects for procreation than human beings.

Tom Hardy, takes place of the famous character, Max, because this is the fourth entry in the series, bringing with his own energy a new perspective of this man, that lost his family and now hangs around this world as a warrior, fighting and avoiding being chased, but once he is captive gets caught in the race to track the fugitive women. This women are running away in search of a better place, fighting and doing what it takes to not go back to that horrible place that turned them, so when this mad man crosses their path and finds an opportunity to help them in order to forgive himself from the fact of let his family been murdered, a ghost that has been chasing him since then. He is no super hero but an outlaw with skills and driven by revenge and anger, a mix that can create miracles and lots of explosions.

And in this case, there will be blood, and lots of explosions, it's a summer blockbuster, packed with action sequences and unique scenarios, all of them with a metaphor of a world that was consumed by it's own habitants and their own hunger of power and insecurities. We'll jump to the action from the very first beginning and it will last for the next two hours and the car chases will blow your mind non stop. From all kind of weapons to kamikazes bands, to bikes, cars, buses, and new human races, only thing will keep your feet down to earth are this characters and those few moments when even the story goes nowhere, is their real search of being a better place and be better version of themselves that will resonate as an explosion of hope that future still can be shape in the best image we have for it.

Because now, back to the present, we all are fighting for our own goals and ideals, motivated by love or driven by our career expectations but always looking to develop new experiences and social circles. Unconsciously all this, works in a way to bring the best of each of us and there is hope t find love and being loved, feeling part of a family or a whole, find the way to survive through all challenges that means be part of the 21st century, a timing where identity is hard to explore and be unique is hard to find but always keeping in the back of our minds the idea of a better tomorrow than what the past we been through.

Far from the Madding Crowd .... and far from all cliches

What means to fall in love? What's for real to fall for someone? to Connect and develop feeling for someone beyond the simple things as looks or social status. Romance have been sold as a fairy tale where two people can meet and fall in love at first sight or when opposites attract just to get caught in a fight that turn hate into love. Or finding the perfect match, a loyal friend that will be at our side no matter what to fight for or with us, bringing the best of us. Or maybe just a crazy intense physical attraction that will lead to hours of passionate sex and make our minds go crazy just thinking about next time.

What about if love is all the above and none of it at the same time. Where do our feelings, fears, insecurities, goals, ideals, fit in all the process? We can't forget that a relationship is made of two, so we need to be ready and open to fall in love for the right person otherwise we will just fill one empty space to create a dysfunctional relation that will turn either into a disaster or a happy scary ending. Being ourselves and getting us out there just will be 50% of the process of that connection, thats why its been called finding your other half for centuries, as the idea is to find someone to complement you instead of someone to fix you or help you become who you are.

What the right person definitely will do is bringing the best of you as a process of challenge to match his or her path and will make us get to know us in better or worst ways with encouragement and inspiration and support of someone we trust and know us for real. Thats why this romance could be scary and touch deeper bottoms that can block us from others or make us push them away. Also if not very confident about ourselves we will bring a way to protect us that will scare others or sabotage everything, screwing things up, even ourselves.

Based on the romantic novel, "FAR FROM MADDING CROWD" (2015), is a story of a young woman that has grown up by herself in an old fashion country land, in ancient times where woman where treated more as objects than person. A time where woman had no voice, less power, and when their highest goal would be been chosen to get married so they have to be prepare for the best bachelor. Bathsheba, our beautiful girl, is an independent and strong woman that has fought against all this standards, making it be her own, so when she heritages her uncles farm, she gets to the high society club and as a farmer and owner has to prove other what she is made of.

But before that, when she was still no one, she get to know another farmer, a hunky noble one that sees the courage and brave heart she posses so as they lives close by started spending time till he out of the blue proposes her with the promise of a bright future as he now owns a hundreds of sheep that will give him the chance of a better future. Sadly events turned bad for him and better for her switching places, so now she hires him as her farmer and any chance of romance is gone as their relationship is pure business now.

As a woman in charge of people, she gets the courage to bring the farm up and make ir profitable. Once she puts her name out in the market, she earns respect from others businessman, and her position now is more one like a man than what a victorian woman will do. So eyes started turning to her, but not the ones she was expecting. Her new neighbor, a rich, educated, attractive, well known farmer, that can bring her stability in business and life, so she flirts like a shy woman knows, but its until she stops that he gets interested just to get her rejection as she realizes she has no feelings for him, it was just her mind trying to convince her, he was a good option.

Then she crosses paths with a soldier that has been broken hearted and seduces her, showing her all what passion means for a virgin woman with lack of experience with men, never been kissed before. This passion blinds her turning her into what she never wants for herself, become a trophy wife, a property for a man. Even the noble hunky farmer warned her, she realizes this late, just to be aware that other than passion there is no more for her now husband.

With all this confusion and turn of events what this movie and its novel based, really brings to the table is the process she goes through as a woman and person to experience love and get to know herself as a grown up woman, her sexuality and her feelings, crashing with her goals and ideals. She gets caught in this relationships, all very different from the other but each one represents one of the main things everyone seeks for, attraction, passion, stability, loyalty, chemistry, challenge, and he realization that is hard to find them all together in the same person, but sometimes the ones we cherish for more will evolve and develop others, but each one will be a lesson that will lead us to a personal introspection about ourselves, who we are and what we really like and want.

When we are able to realize that someone that has been there for us, maybe not in the way we expected but under the surface has been challenging us to bring the best of us, because they can see it even better than ourselves, or are as loyal to stand at our side when no one does, or help us in difficult times and even been honest saying the truth even when thats not what we want to hear, if we are able to embrace that, then passion and romance might turn on and as a test to success, just then we will acknowledge what we really are and what we really want to become a better version of us, like a fairy tale turning a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON....a new super hero era

In recent days has been a big discussion regarding this new super hero genre that has become more popular among the audience, bringing more box office than any award winning film. Directors and critics that are into serious films, dramas or deep stories that give cinema a real meaning of art, well created when able to develop and show human condition, meanwhile super heroes are creation of fiction, something that won't happen in real life and no real drama to evolve in what defines to be human. But should fiction imitate reality as art does, and in that case the best way to perform and get into the human condition would be since a different perspective that aloud to bring a different perspective like a metaphor?

In that way maybe super heroes won't perform as family portrait in the most traditional way or bring a dramatic and intense movie experience whit long shots and a cinematic language as trying to please their fans and embracing their own perspective. The comic label Marvel has been developing a graphic novel narrative with a series of movies than all connected created a new universe where super heroes clash into others in order to bring a bigger plan, pursuing a great finale. Under this scenario we get a new mash up of some of the most popular superheroes from the Marvel Universe: Captain America, Thor, The Hulk, Iron Man among others and new additions like the mutants Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

After breaking all records and becoming the first cinematic experience where we can see a group of our favorite super heroes fighting all together, it was meant to be to bring a sequel, that comes under the surname "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (2015), based on one of the most popular and biggest enemy of the group, a robot that poses A.I. turning his power into something as dangerous as all the world wide web. A treat that can mobilize all around the globe and can manipulate all technology available this days sounds scary and hard to catch. But the real thing about this sequel is the evolution of our beloved heroes.

We've been following them through their own movies, each one of them giving and creating clues to follow this path that will lead us to a big major event but now that we finally have them fighting together for a second time, what would be novelty compering to their last time? And will that be enough to please critics and fans like they did previously?. The answer is a big maybe that just will bring more material to the table for a bigger discussion about this type of movies and their popularity among entertainment or pure art.  True fact, this movies start to feel tired, there are not many surprises or wow factor anymore, even that every time things get messier and we can see more about our heroes kicking asses, the more we see the more expectations we create and that's a hard line to catch and to please everybody.

And yes, there are a lot of action sequences that will blow your mind and make you feel like a kid again, but a said, we have seen that before, so now the group of heroes feel more confortable hanging with each other the same way their actors feel as performing them, we get a few deep moments as a fun ones where they try to hang together more like a group of friends when the phase of connecting and bounding has broke the ice. And right there, is where we can gave a glimpse of what this kind of movies can make for a real cinematic experience.

These heroes are humans. What's going on after/before their fights? Some are soldiers, others scientists, that under different circumstances got some kind of power they've been using in order to save people or do the right thing. But as they start fighting more, the inside battle also becomes bigger and deeper. They need to deal with the fact of sacrifice their own lives or ideals in order to achieve something bigger, or dealing with consequences from their acts after trying to do something good but things are never as simple as good or bad or right or wrong. So they start fighting against their own feelings and frustrations. Like Iron Man, under his alter ego, Tony Stark, a scientist that has been focusing on his own ideals and expanding his industry, now seeks doing good for all human kind, trying to emend what has done wrong to others, so in his mind hides the unconscious idea of trying to do always what it takes to save and protect others even that sometimes consequences will be bad or even worst than the damage that was done before. How can a simple human with a great mind and lots of money can fight against its own fears and battles to take back the damage he had made?.

Same story with the other scientist of the group, The Hulk a.k.a Bruce Banner, a mastermind in bio physics  that because an accident ends turning him into a big green monster with lacks of control, capable to destroy cities and hurt people, creating an insecurity of his own, running and pushing away the ones that care about him to avoid hurting them while trying to help others in need while not able  to trust himself. Reason blocks feelings. How many stories we have been of smart people with poor social skills, fighting to find their own and accept themselves while let others get closer?

On the other side we get soldiers, like the mighty Thor or the nice and genuine Captain American or the fierce and wise Black Widow, the type of fighters that make a move under a code, thinking about the team and the bigger picture, trying to lead and protect their own, always thinking about their team or their own battle. But as they improve their skills and become stronger in body and mind, the lonely they turn, the more sacrifices knock to their door, accepting their own destiny and figuring out what they are made of and their real purpose, blocking their own feelings turning into an iceberg moved by logic and reason more than propose and feelings. How many stories do we know about people fighting their own battles, realizing their own skills, and taking the wrong decision in order to achieve something good, or help their significant others, not knowing what the future holds for them.

Everybody has a power, skills or a great body or mind that will make them unique and capable to help or hurt others. We all have daily battles to accept the way we are, trying to make our own a better place even if sometimes luck and destiny seems to be against us, trying to accept ourselves the way we are and changing what we are capable of. Analyzing our actions and consequences so we can become a better one or simply to get what we want the most, no matter what it takes. We might no need to face a group of evil soldiers or robots trying to destroy our town but if we don't look deep to our actions and the effect we have in to others, would create a thin line that will turn us into a hero or villain. And thats where this kind of movies bring inspiration and a difference for everybody who needs to see things from a different perspective to realize what is right or wrong, and who is evil or not, but only bringing that hero inside of us, off to the surface and enjoy two hours of fiction, heroes smashing bad guys and accepting their destiny that we will embrace ours and that is a piece of art as real as life.
